To T, with love.

Note : A small writing right from my heart for my pet Tuffy Jham who recently passed away at a very early age. He brought in tons of Love, Light and Happiness. You will always be missed, sorely. I recently got inked with his initial 'T' , just a small token, in writing.

To T,

I bought you home with indecisiveness, since I didn’t really know the outcome. But undoubtedly, with those beautifully shaped perfect almond eyes you took my breath away.
And then I claimed you, my own. My very own.
I didn’t even think much about the journey,
Took each day as it came, with your barks and licks and wagging tail
Thinking I would still have much time with you
But alas, I was really too naïve to be true.

You taught me how to love unconditionally even in times of distress
You taught me how to fade my frown with your stupid tricks
You taught about the fascination of simple things
And most importantly
You taught me how to laugh uncontrollably even if my day was a miss.
But I was stupid to not realize that you claimed me from day one.

And I sat there thinking that this was it, with much more years to come
And then again you surprised me, with your sudden departure.
And in a blink of an eye, you were gone.

Now I sit here writing this with a heavy heart and a put-on smile on my face.
Reminiscent and nostalgic.

That’s how you taught me to handle tragic.
It’s saddening you’re not here, sitting by my feet and waiting to play.
It’s also pleasing to think of you
Because I know you’re in a better place.

Finally I know the outcome :
“That life’s a play and nothings right.
The days are rough but my heart I must keep tough
For when life’s just a play,
That’s when I’ll search you in my heart
and you'll be there patiently
crushing my tears, making me smile at once"

So hey there T on my wrist,
You’ll always be an integral part of my life,
For I love you, unconditionally
Much love,
S
